Thank you for showing up and showing out at our first monthly meeting of 2026! You came with wisdom, questions, thoughts, and ideas worthy of so much more time than what we had. I am incredibly honored to be in this transformational space with each of you. What you can expect moving forward is a follow-up email after our monthly call. At times, you may not be able to be on the call, but that does not mean that you are shut out from the information. I encourage you to get to know each other, make a friend, share insight, and grow in this learning space.
This email will also include a space for anyone to share thoughts and questions from the call (it doesn’t matter if you were on or not; this space is for anyone as a follow-up). We spent time yesterday thinking through a few prompts that tie directly into content and learning that you want to see in this virtual space. Your membership should “feed” you through our interactions, and this group of incredible professionals was able to come up with thoughts and ideas that will keep us “fed” for a while. Please allow the team to work through some of the information that was shared.
A few takeaways from our call:
A link was shared with the statement, “If any NSAII member is interested in helping NSAII committees with Organizing around the Position Statement or Planning for the conference, please fill out this form”.
Time was spent gathering ideas for content to share during our monthly calls.
If you are new or want to become more versed with NSAII as an organization, we would love to connect and support you. “Region Time” was used to better know your VP and others within your region.
I am attaching the following link as a follow-up location from our call. This space is open to all (regardless of whether you made the call or not) to be a location to continue to have your voice included. https://forms.gle/BSB7rH3tpWjWVB6PAIf you have any questions, feel free to follow up with your VPs or myself. Stay safe from the snow and ice and have a wonderful weekend! Yours in Collaboration, Commitment, and Community, Amber NSAII President

This group of amazing rockstars continues to inspire and excite me. The sky is the limit for how you will improve instruction within your area of the nation. Thank you for coming to our February Monthly Collaborative meeting. To recap, we heard from NEA on immigration and ICC, NEA Communications, and discussed thoughts for our new website. See attached for notes from the meeting.
If you know someone who is interested in joining NSAII, Sarah can send them an invoice. Send an email to treasurer.nsaii@gmail.com.
Several questions were posed to the group during our call. Please use this link to capture your responses. Even if you were not able to make the call, you can still respond on this link. https://forms.gle/B6gyTGN2vYTsSPRg9
Do you need resources from NEA surrounding ICE, Immigration, and/or Communications?
For our new website
What is NSAII to you?
Why is this space important?
Do you have additional thoughts to add to what you would like to see in our new website?
Are you interested in being on the social media team?
I am attaching the following link as an additional space to share. This space is open to all (regardless of whether you made the call or not) to be a location to continue to have your voice included. https://forms.gle/BSB7rH3tpWjWVB6PA

Greetings NSAII!!!
I always love being in this virtual space with you and soaking up the energy and excitement that you bring into this work. Thank you for coming to our March Monthly Collaborative meeting this past Thursday. To recap, we heard about NEA Micro-Credentials as well as information pertaining to a NEA grant.
Several links were shared, and they can all be found within the notes that are attached. With the Professional Excellence Grant, I know that this group of amazing thinkers will be able to create transformational programs and projects within their respective affiliates. Come up with a thought, figure out what the problem might be for a specific population, and apply for a grant. With the NEA Micro-Credentials, these are a great resource to share with members. And don’t forget about the new AI stack!
Member Conference Planning Committee – we are still looking for one volunteer from the Mid-Atlantic and one volunteer from the Northeast regions. If you have a desire to help with the conference planning and you are in one of these regions, please send me an email to let me know. I will be emailing the planning committee next week. If this role speaks to you, please let me know no later than Wednesday.
Sometimes, the open video call or the email with your name/state is not comfortable for everyone. I am attaching the following link as an additional space to share. This space is open to all (regardless of whether you made the call or not) to be a location to continue to have your voice included. https://forms.gle/BSB7rH3tpWjWVB6PA
If you have any questions, feel free to follow up with your VPs or myself. Stay safe and have a wonderful week!
Yours in Collaboration, Commitment, and Community,
